Projection Mapping

Projection Mapping is the practice of sculpting video content to match the surface geometry it’s being projected on. It´s not necessarily a new technique, though it’s rapidly increasing in both popularity and complexity among the masses, making it more difficult for companies producing the content to stay competitive in the craft. It has been a running theme, as visualists are dying to get their projections onto objects other than flat walls.

These projections of 3D objects onto 2D surfaces have often generated notorious advertisement campaigns, promotion of cutural buildings / cities, brand´s anniversary celebrations and exposure. The following videos are examples of different methods of projection and arquitectural mapping, enjoy!
