Mastering Art

Dear readers!

Who the hell is “smilecass” to blog about Advertising, Design, Music, Photography, Social Media, Technology…Well, graduated from Media in Spain and working/living in Los Angeles for four years I can say that I have been surrounded by media people for over a decade. It might be not long enough to affirm that I saw a lot going on in the world these days, but when you are an “International Fixer and Connector” (according to Mr.Popster), believe me! I can assure you that our generation is a visual one full or dreamers, and that is what I will try to inform you folks. What dreamers are around and what they are doing.

My first example is Bielero, an artist from Ecuador that moved to New York. Ecuador is a country where the career Graphic Novelist is not even taken in consideration. Trying to find yourself in the Big Apple is quite refreshing from someone with that background. “I will log 10,000 hours to master a skill in the fine arts. I am 33 years old and I am studying my second career majoring in Cartooning. My plan is to document the progress, works, and achievements during this journey.”Bielero explains on his blog.

His message is that is never too late to achieve your dreams. I feel related as I hope many of you will. He is an example of courage on changing his own path from Financial Studies to Art.

Check out his challenge!
