New Years Eve is a night when all stars are about to grant wishes for a great 2011. I discover in Madrid Larisa Balinge, a business woman who achieved so much this year that I would like to share it with all of my readers.
While working in the film industry she managed to run her own bar, El museo de la radio, in “La Latina” one of the most bohemian areas of Madrid (C/Santa Ana, #8). In concordance with its name, it is decorated vintage style and again this year they will blast with a party on the 31st of December with free booze all night for only 50 euros.
Next door she opened a renting space named Espacio 8 (Facebook and Twitter) that has been used for art exhibitions, film projects, storage, dinners and whatever you can imagine. Her last show was named Charlie, featuring paint and sculptures that transform regular objects to master pieces. Check out some of the exhibitions in her webpage.
Last but not least she also works as a wardrobe designer for film, tv, fashion and events. She named her business El gusto es mio (A pleasure to meet you), and I will for sure tell everyone that working with Larisa is not only a pleasure but a privilege. Not many days someone crosses paths with an intelligent fun entrepreneur and workaholic woman.
Hurry up and check out her businesses because who knows what she will be challenging next year. Best wishes to all of you!
